Glitter, gold and champagne glasses--oh my! This Twinkle Twinkle themed baby shower was an ode to all things gorgeous and girly! And who doesn't love a sparkly tablescape and pink mocktails?!
I originally planned to use a pale pink and gold color palette, but when I found these invitations from Rachelle's Printables on Etsy (find her shop here), I was inspired to add aqua, silver and dark pink to the party. I love how bright and cheery these colors look together! So fab.
The pink "mocktails" were served in champagne flutes with glitter sprinkles around the rim. TIP: To achieve this look, be sure to dip the glass in WARM water, then into the bowl of sprinkles. I had quite a few Pinterest fails using cold water before I figured it out!
Although I wasn't able to get a good picture of the full dessert table, you can see bits of the backdrop in the other pictures. To create this ribbon backdrop, I draped a large tablecloth over a free-standing structure made from PVC pipe, then used double-sided tape to attach ribbon at the top. The 50% off ribbon and trim sale at Hobby Lobby was key to creating this backdrop without breaking the bank!
I also found a chipboard star-shaped box and lid at Hobby Lobby, which I used in a "make a wish for the baby" area where guests wrote sweet notes on star-shaped cardstock, then placed them in the box for the expectant mama to take home. It was a unique spin on the traditional guest book, and well, so appropriate for the Twinkle Twinkle theme that I just couldn't help myself!
Some other details not shown include gold star confetti-filled balloons, a pink ombre ruffled table cloth, and a glittery gold star banner. I definitely learned my lesson about budgeting for enough time to photograph the party before the guests arrive on this one! Hopefully I've included enough photos to at least get your creative juices flowing :). Thanks for stopping by, and happy party planning!
